Community Dinner Honoring Veterans

Everyone is invited to a community dinner being held Sunday, November 12, at Mt Calvary Lutheran Church, Wamego, to honor all veterans, those now serving in the military, and their families.  Special invitees will be all the veterans, and everyone involved in the Honor Flight trips to the National War Memorials in Washington, DC.  Mr. Shawn Hornung and Ms. Suzanne Sprinkle, coordinators of the local Honor Flights, will give a presentation about the last Honor Flight trip.

All in the community who wish to honor veterans and the military are invited to the dinner at 12:00.  Worship services are at 8:00 and 10:30.

A free will offering will be taken for those who want to contribute toward the Honor Flight trips.  A quilt will be shown that is being raffled as a fundraiser for the trips.

Mt Calvary Lutheran Church is located ½ mile north of the intersection of Highways 99 and 24.  This is an opportunity for all ages to gather together for a Sunday dinner and honor our veterans.
